Interactive Web Page
Locus: Health Education for Everyone
What I DID:
Founder
Skills I used:
Web Design | React | Framer
When I did it:
2023-Present
The Process:
I worked at free clincs in MA. Due to a language and education barrier, patients were not on the same page as doctors.
Understandably, people were not following the medication protocols. Of course, why would you listen to a doctor, if you don't connect with their reasoning.
I was asked by the head of a free clinic to create some translated patient education.
I built the base appearance with Framer, a React-based tool.
I soon realized I needed custom React functions for the interactivity. You can see this in the downloads, the translation functionality, and the history functions.
The project quickly spread , and is now in free clinics all around the country. My project's analytics software has tracked over 1,000,000 visits to this date.
Recently, this project was endorsed by the President of the American College of Physicians (2nd largest group of doctors in the U.S.)
This is potentially my favorite project, because of its impact. I've had the opportunity to speak with a few users—an incredible experience.
